With or Without?

With or Without? is an oil on natural linen with sexy legs and Christian Louboutin shoes inspired painting 60cm x 80cm by emerging London artist Martin Allen. Have you ever been on a crazy bender of an evening in Soho London or Greenwich Village NYC when all of the stars and planets aligned, you met someone new, had a hedonistic evening out, got somewhere private and then had to decide ‘With or Without?’

The original painting of “With or WIthout?” is Oil on linen 60cm x 80cm. The 100 A2 pigment prints are printed on heavy Somerset Velvet paper and a few remain.

Artist Martin Allen

is a London based. Martin came to oil painting through a circuitous route, having drawn for most of his life and being largely self-taught he was eventually re-introduced to oil painting as a preferred medium to create his varied and diverse work. The methods he uses to paint are classic ones, using layered paint applications rounded off by oil glazes. These create, add depth and harmonise colours. He has shown solo numerous times at Goodwood, The Affordable Art Fair and others, been a finalist at the ‘London art Biennale 2019’, alongside various commissions including work for the BP Shipping collection.
