Surreal Chupa II
Artist MartinAllen’s second homage to the great Salvador Dali who’s work he finds inspirational and Chupa Chup lollies that everyone loved as kids.
The thing that not many people know is that Dali designed the Chupa Chups logo back in the day around 1969…how cool is that? It’s still in use today and remains timeless – pure genius!
If you like ‘Surreal Chupa II’ my homage to Salvador Dali you may also like ‘Surreal Chupa‘, my first painting of an homage to Dali.
Artist Martin Allen
is a London based. Martin came to oil painting through a circuitous route, having drawn for most of his life and being largely self-taught he was eventually re-introduced to oil painting as a preferred medium to create his varied and diverse work. The methods he uses to paint are classic ones, using layered paint applications rounded off by oil glazes. These create, add depth and harmonise colours. He has shown solo numerous times at Goodwood, The Affordable Art Fair and others, been a finalist at the ‘London art Biennale 2019’, alongside various commissions including work for the BP Shipping collection, and recently Vogue magazine.
Martin will be showing this and various other artworks with La Belle Epoch at The Affordable Art Fair Hampstead 2022.
